Build a consistent setup before you set off. Clip to a suitable body harness, connect to a compatible vehicle buckle, and adjust the length for your dog’s space in the rear seat.

Choose my two-pack

Adjust to their space.

Set the tether between 42 and 67 cm. Check that your dog can settle comfortably without reaching the driver or becoming tangled.

A swivel at the harness.

The rotating carabiner helps the connection turn as your dog changes position, reducing twisting at the clip.

Two belts, more flexibility.

Keep a spare ready or leave one tether in each of two compatible vehicles. Each pack contains two black belts.

The right fit starts at the buckle.

Vehicle seat-belt buckles vary. Compare the tab dimensions with your vehicle’s requirements before ordering, and check that the connection locks securely before every journey.

Check the connection

With the vehicle parked, insert the tab into a compatible buckle. Check that it clicks and stays locked when gently pulled.

Attach to a harness

Connect the swivel clip to a suitable body harness attachment point, following the harness instructions. Never attach to a collar.

Adjust and inspect

Set the length to limit roaming without tangling. Inspect the webbing, clip, and buckle connection for wear before use.

Will it fit every car?

No universal fit is promised. The buckle tab is 2.1 cm / 0.83 in wide and approximately 6.1 cm / 2.4 in long. Check compatibility with your vehicle before buying. Contact Petly if you need help.

Can I attach it to a collar?

No. Attach only to a suitable body harness, following the harness manufacturer’s instructions. A harness is not included.

Is this a crash-tested restraint?

We do not have verified crash-test certification for this product. It is intended to help manage movement in the vehicle; it should not be relied on as certified crash protection.

What comes in the pack?

Two adjustable black tethers with buckle tabs and swivel clips. A harness, seat cover, and dog seat extender are not included.
